...a word from a former "Mr. President"

Over 31 years ago I joined Lakeland Players in my first production: "Once Upon a Mattress" as Prince Dauntless. It was a great show! I loved the comradely and friendships I achieved through working together with my fellow actors to create a truly unique and quality show. Over the years I have joined other organizations, but Lakeland Players always seemed to be the stable ground for my theatre. We have many opportunities for the entire family, whether its Theatre Camp which was established in the year I was President in 1998-99 to helping behind the scenes with Make-Up, Lighting, Sound, Concessions or Painting, to Directing or Producing a show, Lakeland Players is your Community Theatre Group Home!Kiss Me Kate!

Scholarships: through our many benefits which we offer to our members, one of them is Scholarship. Lakeland Players currently offers 2 scholarships listed below.

  1. Academic College Scholarship: This shall be awarded to one individual after being reviewed by the scholarship committee, the sum of $500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars) to be sent to the students educational facility for the purchase of books, tuition, or school supplies. The honoree will also receive a "certificate of honor" to be received as a distinction for this achievement.
  2. Summer Camp Scholarship: This shall be awarded to one individual after being reviewed by the camp committee, the cost of the current years Summer Camp Fee to be waived and a "certificate of honor" to be received as a distinction for this achievement.
Awards: Lakeland Players holds an annual June Banquet where an awards ceremony is held for all productions during the previous season. This in essence is our personalized version of an Academy Awards celebration. It is a chance to reflect and recognize favorite performances as well as honoring achievements to the group from each respective show and from our hard working members the awards are as follows:
